2jumpsinaweek: Mehrab had just come into town. He was planning to shoot some vidoe for his Islamic project with a few scholars. I had known Mehrab at an acquaintance level because I had met him in his hometown a year ago while attending a seminar. He came over to work, really to introduce himself to me, and also…

2jumpsinaweek: I sit in my living room, no furniture, just wide open as a means of meditation, and a musalla. I decided after reading an article about American soldiers killing in Afghanistan for sport, keeping body parts as trophies, and keeping photos of the dead to take my mind and move it into the world of…

Tired of Akh's
2jumpsinaweek: Engaged in an argument with someone who looks forward to Akhira, and views that concept to be okay. I am all for the Akhira, and having Taqwa, but you were placed on this earth to do work, and if you want to get to Jannah - the work that needs to be put in happens where? In the Dunya. Can’t win with these overzealous religious folk.

2jumpsinaweek: I’m getting kind of annoyed at people taking shots at parents outdated logic. Example: A speaker says, “Parents can’t force their kids into marriage, even in preference cases (e.g. has to be a doctor, pakistani, etc.).” Then the crowd of kids start getting all happy, giving the look of, “I told…

kaylebleechan: Or sound like some kid in high school. I hate gangsters or wanna be gangsters because they dont know how it is to be in a war to uphold peace. The art of war is preventing war. I apologize for my illiterate rant. I hate it when people do that and yet im doing it. But this is something i wanted to…

2jumpsinaweek: Hug’d a kid today whose worries reminded me of an 18 year old me. I told him it’s okay, I’m 23 and I haven’t figured things out yet. He said he’s lost with life, and couldn’t find where he was going. I told him the day he stops searching for what he’s meant to do in life that is the day he truly…

Does God exist?
-------
A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. They eventually touched on the subject of God.
Barber: I don't believe that God exists.
Customer: Why do you say that?
Barber: Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn’t exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can’t imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things.
-------
The customer thought for a moment, but didn’t respond because he didn’t want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again.
Customer: You know what? Barbers don't exist.
Barber: How can you say that? I am here. I am a barber, and I just worked on you!
Customer: No! Barbers don’t exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside.
Barber: Ah, but barbers DO exist! That’s what happens when people do not come to me.
Customer: Exactly! That’s the point! God, too, DOES exist! That’s what happens when people do not go to Him and don’t look to Him for help. That’s why there’s so much pain and suffering in the world.

Apology
anonymuus: “Star light, star bright, The first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, Have the wish I wish tonight. I was wrong, you were right, I’m so sorry about our fight, For what I said, for what I might, I apologize, hear my plight. In the sky on this night, For all to see a new sight, The fairest of stars that shines bright It now has your name, my guiding light.” I apologize...

2jumpsinaweek: I don’t think the business of considering yourself an island is healthy or beneficial to you. It’s hard to find one person you feel closely assembles the way you think, and feel, it’s easy to subscribe to the logic that people will let you down. It’s familiar to get into that loathing mode, but…
